Doug Glanville has lasting memories of John Vukovich. Now retired and putting his engineering degree to use, he flew from Chicago this week to be one of the estimated 700 mourners to say goodbye to the man who meant so much to Glanville's life and career, which spanned from 1996-2004, including six with the Phillies. Glanville put into words a personal experience showing the kind, intensely caring and protective side of "Vuk."
